Well at least it makes a change from the usual dark screen? But anyway, well done Tumblr for infantilizing your user base: the service itself is buggy as hell and can hardly go for 5 mins without some sort of error message, but at least you can try to be cute and talk about “Tumblrbeats” that need feeding, etc. I dunno about you guys, but personally I find it a little patronizing? After all, Tumblr, you’re running an IT company, not a kindergarten. Being cute won’t make it less frustrating when you’re trying to use the service and you’re presented with a message talking about feeding the beasts, blah blah…
Tumblr is getting so buggy lately its kinda taking all the fun out of it. One day without the dreaded “We’ll be back shortly” message would be nice. It would be just as nice if the “redesigned” queue would actually work with some degree of consistency every now and then.
